4 Ways to Help
1. Diana Burdette, the executive director of PICA led the Sunday Forum. They are always in need of protein items for their 2 food pantrie which serves 15,000 people per month. Our goal for January is 50 jars of peanut butter and/or cans of tuna. Buy it now, leave it in your car and bring it to church on Sunday. The baskets are in the back of the auditorium
2.PICA is having another fundrasier on Friday, January 29. Eat a meal at California Tacos at 977 Manton Ave in Providence and California Tacos will contribute 20% of all sales made that day to PICA. They are open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Thank you for eating at Viva Mexico in December. They donated $700.00 to PICA.
3. We are taking our refugee youth ice skating on Saturday, January 23 and we need drivers. We will meet at 1 PM at Calvary Baptist Church to pick the youth up and take them to the Alex and Ani ice rink in Providence for a couple hours of skating. Your commitment will be until about 4 PM. Drivers do not have to skate! Talk to Susan Lepore if you can help.
4. Saturday, February 6 at 1:30 is the 9th Annual SPNM Spelling Bee. We need 3 spellers and lots of supporters. Talk to Ken Clauser if you can participate.
